Principal Owner & Founder - Steve Miguez
Steve has been President and CEO of Iberia Crewboats, Inc. and then Iberia Marine Service, LLC since its founding in 1975. Since that time the number and sizes of vessels in operation has varied. However because of careful planning and adaptation Steve has successfully navigated the company through the turbulent oil bust of the 1980’s and all other challenges in between. In his spare time Steve travels extensively with his wife Glenda and competes in shooting competitions usually along side his sons, Blake and Ridge.
President - Blake Miguez
Blake is a graduate of Catholic High School of New Iberia and shortly there after he attended college at Louisiana State University (LSU) where he received a Bachelors degree in Political Science. Blake’s education in the Offshore Marine Transportation business has been a lifelong course of study fostered by his father, Steve, and his grandfather, J.O. Neuville (founder of Neuville Boat Works). Throughout his education, Blake worked at the family business doing any jobs that could prepare him for his future in the company. Being aware of the increased regulations in the oilfield and being faced with continuous complex legal issues, Steve encouraged his son to go to law school so he could aide the family business in the years to come. Blake took his father’s advice by graduating from Southern University Law Center and shortly there after becoming licensed in the State of Louisiana. Blake is also admitted to practice in Eastern, Middle and Western District Courts of Louisiana and the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Today, Blake serves as President of Iberia Marine Service, LLC.
The marine transportation business is but one dimension of Blake. Throughout his life and in his spare time he competes professionally in pistol shooting competitions. Among the copious amounts of 1st place ribbons, trophies, and plaques Blake has earned over the years his talents have culminated recently in being awarded 1st Place and a Gold Medal as a USA team member in the 2011 World Shoot held in Rhodes, Greece. Recently, Blake placed 1st at the USPSA Nationals held in Las Vegas, Nevada where he obtained the title of US National Champion. Prior to this, Blake placed 2nd and a silver medal in the 2008 World Shoot held in Indonesia. Because of Blake's talent and high competitive rank both nationally and internationally, he was chosen in 2010 to compete on the debut season of the reoccurring History Channel reality show, Top Shot. Since then, Blake has returned to the show as a handgun expert on follow up seasons and made multiple appearance on different networks which cover outdoor shooting events.
